The Junkies love a bit of Christmas! And with that in mind … last year we were sent packing to visit countless candlelit Christmas concerts across the UK! Village halls, school performances, local churches, social clubs, fishermen’s pubs, scout huts, country cider barns and even the Women’s Institute Christmas Party (well … they do the best mince pies, obvs!). Full of inspiration … we returned three stone heavier apiece … and full of folky Christmas cheer! Straight to the TFJ Barn Studio we went! Under the guidance of Mr Gurry … with our guitars, mandolins, banjos, fiddle, sleigh bells, shell shakers and woolly jumpers at the ready … we kept the spirit alive for two days of rehearsals and live recordings of carols. Folk met country met Celtic met historical met Americana met intimate … and here is the wonderfully earthy result of it all. A Very Rustic Christmas … acoustic, folky and festive!
